GridGear reviews mechanical and electrical drawings to identify optimal meter placement for new construction and renovation projects. We provide a specification indicating the number of meters required, recommended models, enclosure types, and installation locations. This ensures your submetering system is designed correctly before construction begins.

For properties with existing electrical infrastructure, we provide engineering support to integrate submetering into current panel configurations. We assess existing wiring, breaker capacity, and panel layouts to determine the most practical metering approach, including product selection, enclosure sizing, and installation guidance.

Custom-length CT extension cables for installations where standard leads are too short to reach the meter terminal blocks. Available in various lengths and compatible with our full line of revenue-grade current transformers. Particularly useful in large panel installations or where meters must be mounted at a distance from the service entrance.

Next Century radio transceivers are programmed and tested at our facility prior to shipment. Each unit is physically pre-attached to the meter assembly, minimizing installation steps on site and eliminating the need for on-site radio configuration.

Custom printed labels applied to meters and enclosures before delivery, identifying each unit by suite number, unit designation, or any convention required by the property. Labels can include company logos, colour coding, or barcode identifiers to reduce on-site organization time.
